Shekhana is the head seat of the
Shekhawat Clan of Rajputs. It is named after the former ruler
of the Shekhawats Maha Rao Shekhaji. Promoters of the Shekhana
Palace are the descendents of Ugar Singh Ji, one of the sons
of Maha Rao Shekhaji. The forefathers of the family fought for
the country in the Jaipur State Army. Shekhana Palace is
dedicated to them and has been built in their memory to
express the tradition, culture, architecture and hospitality
